| This is from a rare set of locals--believe it or not-from Colombia. An American who owned a mining company started a courier service/local post for the miners. The stamps never got into philatelic hands until the 1930's. The owner was a member of the Philadelphia Philatelic Society and distributed the remainders to fellow members. I think all were remainders--CTO. The post apparently never functioned. I wish I could say where I read this! [Brian McGrath] |
