The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company provided passenger service between the island and
various ports in England, Scotland and Ireland. This is from a set of 10 "stamps"
which depict various vessels in their fleet from 1830 to 1951 (all are 3d denominations).
I have these affixed in a commemorative booklet. The cover says "Souvenir Poster Stamps of
the Isle of Man Steam Packet Co. Ltd. / In Aid of the British Sailors Society Incorporated
(At Home and Abroad) Established 1818". The caption under the illustrated stamp is "1875.
The only Manx steamer to have four funnels" (refers to "Ben-my-Chree II"). [Jay Carrigan]
