| This is a bogus handstamped overprint issue probably produced in Constantinople. Favor cancels are known. The following values are known: 5R on 10k, 5R on 40k, 5R on 50k, 5R on 60k, 5R on 70k, 5R on 1R, 10R on 40k, 10R on 60k all perforated and the 5R on1R imperforate. I have the 5R on 70k with the handstamp inverted as well. [Jim Simon] |
