| This is presumably a strike post from 1971, however the Rosen Catalogue (and other items in my collection) show the base stamp with thin, sans-serif letters (right). This one (left) has thicker, serifed letters. Is it a collectible variety, or a reprint/forgery? |
| If it is any consolation, I have just obtained a pair ( within a collection) which are gum backed and rouletted. I am just as mystified. [Barry Gay] |
