| What can anyone tell me about this Egyptian stamp overprinted for Soudan, and then handstamped "TEL"? |
| Sudan made a specific design for military telegraph during this era, but civilian telegraphs were handled by use of this overprint. I have not been able to find out whether the overprint was applied to mint sheets or was applied at the telegraph office. [Brian McGrath] |
