Bodo Hartmann, the expert on Persia says that these are essays for a
legitimate stamp for local mail within the confines of Teheran. It seems that no
matter how many low denomination stamps were supplied to the post offices they
always ran out in a few days. Hartmann makes no mention of any reprints of this
issue. The entire issue did not get released for use, but was totally placed in
the hands of dealers--and soon went on sale in Europe. Sorry I do not have the
date handy, as I am not at home right now. [Brian McGrath]
