Stamps from South Kasai aren't listed
in many catalogs, but the ones I have make no mention of three sets of
overprints similar to the one shown. [Note: Malaria; orphans; refugees.]
Are these listed anywhere? Is each overprint on all five values? Are there
further unlisted overprints?

The stamp from South Kasai is not listed in MICHEL Catalogue under South Kasai, but I
read in a magazine, that there exist some overprints on Kasai's stamps,
mostly semi-official, also bogus. They are listed in catalogues of some
Belgian dealers. There exist also real transported letters with such stamps. [Manuel Praest]

COB (Catalogue Officiel de Timbres-Poste Belgique) mentions the "Pour les orphelins"
surcharge in a footnote, but not the others. [Jay Carrigan]

Surfing through your pages I saw you looked for information about "Sud Kasai"
stamps. In my Michel-catalogue (Nr. 6 - South- and Central Africa 1998, page 963) I saw the set
you mentioned (Leopard and V-sign), however without overprints. In a footnote Michel
says: Several overprints registered, but not issued officially and not
valid for postage. [Peter vd Heijden]

Here are the overprints I've seen. [Rick Scott]
