What's this, a railway stamp?
I can't make out the inscription: if it is STADSBANN...then it is railway. If it is STADSBARN... then it is children, which is more in line with the design. Children's charity label. [Ian Billings]
It's "STATSBANE". [Rick Scott]
I'm not really sure this is Swedish, and it's sure not a stamp. It's a "charity-label"; "Gör godt" is is probably Danish, but could be old Swedish language, and stands for "make good". "Statsbane" means something related to the Government railways, and this term is still used in Denmark and Norway, but not in Sweden since 1906. After that year we named the Government railways "Statens Järnvägar" which means the State railways (before 1906: Sveriges Statsbanor). [Jesper Luckmann]
