| This appears to be a local handstamp revaluing a definitive from Pakistan. I have several different types of handstamp. What locality is this item from, and is there a catalogue or identifier for these items? |
| It is a local hand rubber print surcharge used in 1961. The goverment of Pakistan decided to switch over to decimal currency in 1960; this was enforced from Jan 1, 1961. Plenty of varieties are found in east/west Pakistan. No catalogue is available in this field, not even in Pakistan. Only 7 values were machine printed by security printing of Pakistan (listed in Scott and Gibbons). ["RIN30"] |
