What's the story behind this "Zeppelin Mail" item, seen in a sheetlet of four, and likely a bogus issue?
Another Roessler item. There is a catalog called: "A.C. Roessler Photo Cachet Catalogue" by Barry Newton published by F.D.C. Publishing Co., PO Box 206, Stewartsville, NJ. 08886. This was a 1976 edition that I picked up second hand so I don't know if they are still in business but you could no doubt borrow it through the APRL. It is mostly Roessler's cover creations but your item, in a block of four, is shown on page 94. [Stetson Thomas]
Stetson sent a photocopy. Although the item is not dated, it notes that there are two versions in perforated sheetlets of four, one on paper and one on sulfite card. [Rick Scott]
A joke issue produced by an American friend of mine (now deceased) in the 1960's. His hobby was printing. [David M. Stirling]
I am attaching a scan related to your American List #45. Catapult Mail to Bremen Aug. 1929. The enlarged image is in blue. ascinated to see the Labels this makes the card much dearer to my heart as I collect Stamp Postcards and while imitations of stamps are fine, pictures of real labels are better.
