| An official/business overprint used by the Department of Finance and the Bureau of Customs and Internal Revenue. Used in Manila and applied in purple by handstamp. The earliest known date of use is February 26, 1943. There are approximately 100 of these hand applied official overprints recorded. [Richard Harrison] |
