| This is a pair of 1945 stamps, with an overprint not listed among other CNL issues of the day. Part of a set of 5 pairs, the indistinct overprint shows a feathered hat perched on a shield containing a fleur-de-lys (Parma?). Is this a local stamp, or a commemorative label? |
| It is surely a private overprint. In Italian Republic never it was overprint a stamp! The ovp depicts a hat of an Italian Military Corps: the SHARPSHOOTERS. So probably it is a private celebration during a meeting of veterans. (Surely the stamps are too late for a CNL ovp!) [Fabio Vaccarezza] |
