These are from two sets of Hungarian stamps overprinted with coats-of-arms. What are they?
The left-hand overprint is illustrated in Michel under Romania, Post in the Levant, as "Mache" which I interpret as fraudulent. [Rick Scott]
Left stamp is a Transylvania local, Nagyszeben Issue of March 15, 1919. 40 values; Right Stamp is an S.H.S. (Serbia/Croatia/Slovenia) State local, Ada Issue of Feb. 15, 1919. 21 values. This is according to 'The Catalogue of Hungarian Occupation Issues 1918-1921' by C. E. Brainard, 1993. Billig Vol. III of 1943 states that the Arms of Serbia Overprint (Ada Issue) is dubious. Since Brainard doesn't price this issue, this might be true. He does price the Nagyszeben Issue. [Ed Pieklo]
