This is one of a "set" of five similar items; all have different frames.
The wide margin seems to preclude it from being a postal stationery cut-out.

A good guess. I've just found the blue value illustrated in a series of articles on Phantoms by Rooke, and it's
called a pre-1900 essay by Schroeder, one of many more than the five I have. [Rick Scott]

Here is a plate from Concise Description of the Collection of Essays of Martin Schroeder
- Leipzig. The plate shows 15 essays in black, and four of my designs
but not this particular one. The text notes another sheet of 26 different
essays in different colors, where mine must have originated. Note that
Martin Schroeder was a collector, not a designer as I assumed. [Rick Scott]
