A 1933 poster advertising a special train movement:
I started out as a Santa Fe modeler
with Lionel back in the mid 50's in San Diego. My Uncle was in HO
and I "graduated" to that scale in the late 50's with a
Varney F3 that I hand painted in Santa Fe blue and yellow. I so
like blue and yellow that I still use it - now on my 1 and 1/2
inch to the foot R&M Lines. Despite all the HO scale Santa Fe
models that I have, I am now most interested in getting RGS #20 4-6-0 in 2.5" to the foot scale to run on 7.5 inch gauge track. These things sound real, look real, and have to be worked by a
real railroader to get over the line with a load and to stop
safely.
