Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, Richard Green has worked to develop his own style of composition for solo piano. He has also worked as an arranger, orchestrator and studio musician. He has worked on numerous first-run feature films, as well as numerous television and television animation projects. Documentary credits include "Biography" for A&E, the American documentary series "Medical Marvels," the Canadian documentary series "Sketches of Our Town" (which was nominated for the Golden Sheaf Award as best documentary), and most recently, as composer on the Canadian documentary film "The Red Road."
Richard Green has performed both as a soloist and with a number of well-known groups. He is also known as an accompanist, arranger and music director in the Los Angeles area. Artists that he has performed on stage with include: James Intveld, Jerry Donahue, Iron Maiden, Loverboy, Mac Davis, The Music Machine, Charlie Daniels, Charlie Pride, Eddie Raven, Moe Bandy, Doug Kershaw, Ray Campi, Rosie Flores, Big Brother and the Holding Company, The Seeds, The Strawberry Alarm Clock, Arthur Lee and Love, Tommy Sands, Eddie Dean, Red Rhodes, Chucky Weiss, Johnny Fortune and Hank Thompson. He has also performed in groups opening for Willy Nelson, Glen Campbell, The Knack, George Thorogood, Walter Egan, Manhattan Transfer, Hank Williams, Jr., Kenny Rankin, Count Basie and Buddy Rich.
