The Otter Cliffs offer an impressive variety of rock formations at the edge of the sea. The trail along the Park Loop Road changes from wide open vistas to a dark forest canopy as you progress south from Sand Beach. While you can park at the top of the cliffs and look down, to see the best sights you must hike north toward Sand Beach and south toward Otter Point. The two areas are markedly different. The view above is looking toward Sand Beach and the "Beehive". |

Here is a good shot of the cliffs and massive rock formations found throughout the area. Note how close the trail is to the edge and how clear the water is. With a rough sea the wave action is intense. |
