EBLEN Coat of Arms

Artist Representation from description
The name Eblen is German in origin; some believe the name Eblen might translate as "descendant of Eberhard".

The Eblen Coat of Arms is documented in Rietstap Armorial General, ancient heraldic archives. It is described as follows:

"D'azur a une cigogne d'arg., bq. et m. de gu., posee sur une terrasse de sin."

This translates as a blue shield with a silver stork, beak and legs red, standing on a green ground. The crest of the helmet is
translated as the stork. A family motto, was not recorded with the Eblen Coat of Arms.

The significance of the Eblen Coat of Arms to the family tree is of course the possibility of finding ancestors in the middle ages,
since good records were kept of descendants of such families.
