Winkin is a 6 to 8 month old neutered buff boy with freckles on his nose. He is being
brought up-to-date on shots, is vet checked, heartworm tested and on preventative.
His family did not want him any more. A "Cocker Angel" took him into
her home and tried to get him adopted. Because he was not neutered, had no shots,
and his cherry eye had not yet been fixed, nobody wanted him. She placed him with
Rescue so he would receive the medical attention he needed.
Winkin has an easy care coat. He had never had a haircut, but after an initial squirm,
he let an absolute stranger trim his face.
He is a sweetie. His first foster mom had said he was good with other dogs, cats
and birds. We have found he doesn't like other dogs outside his crate, but he seems
okay with them when he is out also.
Winkin doesn't
have a lot of confidence and would not be a good choice for a family with noisy small
children.
He appears to be crate trained and may well be housebroken.
