Teddy is
an buff neutered male, born 6/16/93. He just had his teeth cleaned and his shots
will be brought up-to-date. He originally came from a pet breeding kennel which was closing because of its owner's
advanced
age. Although not a show dog himself, he does come from show lines. He was placed
but returned to Rescue three years later when his owner was moving and wanted to
take her puppy but not Teddy.Teddy had an attractive coat when we got him the first time. A clipper-happy groomer shaved him down - and it's going to take a long time for his coat to return to anything close to what it once was. There was enough hair on his head for us to repattern it, and he behaved marvelously. This is a coat which will need to be combed regularly.
In 1999, we described Teddy as delightful. He still is. This is just such a sweet boy. He's one of those dogs who wants to climb up in your lap and wash your face.
As you can see, there's a bit more Teddy now than there was 3 years ago. Needless to say, Rescue immediately put him on a diet! He tries to tell everybody he sees that nobody ever feeds him - but he exaggerates a little!
Teddy is good on a leash and potties when taken outside.
He has spent most of his life with other dogs and seems to get along with them well. And he wasn't bothered by the cat.
