Potter is
a 2 to 3 year old black neutered male. He is current on shots, microchipped and vet
checked and heartworm tested.
He had
been a stray in an urban shelter.
Potter has lots of curly hair. He came into Rescue with one mat - which extended
from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail and encircled his entire torso. Although
removing him from this body armor took several grooming sessions, he remained fully
cooperative - and appreciative - the entire time. He would be most comfortable if
kept in a puppy cut.
This is a
dog who seems to love people and is fine around other dogs. He runs up to strangers
to say "hi" and he rolls over to be petted. Someone has obviously taught
him some basic obedience commands, and he is very well behaved.
Potter is clean in his crate and potties immediately when taken outside on a leash.
If he is not already housebroken, he isn't far from it.
Potter is happiest when he is in the company of people and has been known to "sing"
when he is left alone.
He had been adopted but was reluctantly returned to Rescue because a child in the
family was allergic to him.
