Guiness is a 5 month old black male. He is up-to-date on shots, and on heartworm
prevention and will be neutered as soon as possible.
He was surrendered to a shelter because he didn't come already housebroken (at 16
weeks !!!)
Guiness has some show lines behind him, and as a result has a lot of hair. Initially
he was reluctant to be groomed, but after having had time on the grooming table turned
into play time, he is learning to accept it somewhat.
He is a very active puppy. He loves to weave around landscape lights and chairs and
he'll run up stairs just to "fly" off the side so he can do it again. An
agility prospect in the making? He is also a toy freak - wants to have something
in his mouth all the time!
Guiness loves to kiss and cuddle. He's ok with the kitty and loves people and he's
learning manners. He's a fairly dominant dog who needed to be put in his place by
other members of his canine pick. He seems to have gotten the message - but he should
go to a new home with someone who understands pack dynamics and who is willing to
use positive, consistent training techniques.
As far as the reason he was surrendered to the shelter in the first place - not being
housebroken - time and age seems to have cured that problem. And he seems to be solidly
crate trained.
Guiness was fostered by Cocker Angel Linda
