Lukas

Lukas is a 15 month old reddish buff boy. He will be neutered, vet checked and put on heartworm medication before he leaves Rescue.

A family had gotten him "for the kids". Then when the kids lost interest in taking care of him, he was tied out in the backyard. Finally the family called Rescue.

Lukas has a lovely hard coat, which could be beautiful with any amount of regular combing and proper grooming. His legs and ears had been neglected for so long that they needed to be cut down. He behaved fine for getting this done , but when it came time to clip around his face, he turned into a master fidget.

This boy loves everybody. Adults. Kids. Other dogs. He was in his glory at a Rescue function in downtown Clinton. So many people to ask to pet him. So many kids to try to kiss.

Lukas knows some basic commands, but his youthful enthusiasm can be a bit overwhelming at times. He needs a home which will continue the instruction he has been getting in leash manners.

He is crate trained but needs some help in the housebreaking department.
