Jo

Jo is an approximately 4 or 5 year old buff spayed girl. She is current on shots, and is vet checked and heartworm tested.

She was originally a stray at an urban shelter. Jo had been previously adopted by her former "fostermom", but her she wanted to raise a Seeing Eye puppy as well as foster, and Jo doesn't do well in a pack environment. She was then adopted by a family who loved her - but Jo and the toddler was not a good combination.

Jo doesn't have a lot of coat. She needed a touch up grooming and a few mats snipped from her legs, but she was very cooperative for the process.

She's a pleasant dog to have around. She is very people oriented and wants to be near her foster family when they're home - but she is fine in the crate when the family is out. She is housebroken. She's a very happy dog who loves to play.

Jo has a fairly high prey drive and does seem to want to chase cats when she's being walked. She is very aware of her environment and seems to be very curious.

Our biggest concern about placing her is that she shows a desire to run - she'll take off on her flexi and try to keep going! Probably this is how she ended up a stray. She must go to a fenced yard or to someone who truly understands the necessity of keeping her leashed.
