Honeybun is a 4 year old spayed buff girl. She is vet checked and heartworm tested and on preventative.
She came to Rescue from a pet breeder who had kept her in a run alone and gave her no contact except when she put food in the run once a day.
The breeder relinquished some of
her dogs to Rescue when her numbers got too high and she had other family obligations.Honeybun has a nice coat, but it will mat if it is not combed frequently. She was somewhat apprehensive about being groomed but did cooperate enough to get her face patterned.
Honeybun is a special needs dog. She has been in foster care for many months, but was too shy to be be offered to a new home. She has made progress and will now take a cookie from strangers and will offer to play with her tennis ball with them.
She may need help in the housebreaking department, but she seems willing to learn.
Honeybun would do best in a quiet household with no other pets and with a family experienced in dealing with a shy dog.
And, for the record, her mother is Savannah, who was placed previously (in 1999) and her full sister is Heide, who was placed in 2000.
