Hansel

Hansel is a 2 year old neutered black and tan male. He has been brought up-to-date on shots, and is vet checked, and heartworm tested and on preventative.

A friend of Rescue noticed an ad in the paper "free to good home." Knowing how dangerous it is to offer a dog to the first comer, she called and offered Rescue's services to help the dog find a good home, not just any home. Apparently Hansel had been purchased for breeding purposes but when the owner's family situation changed, his status changed from being a beloved pet to a yard dog. And finally he and his daughter Gretel were discarded together.

Hansel's coat had not been taken care of. He was badly matted, and Rescue is trying to save as much of his coat as possible. He was very good for getting his face "found".

This dog is doll. He give kisses to strangers, and loves to give and get hugs. Since he had been used at stud, he's not particularly fond of other male dogs, but he seems fine around the girls.

He is crate trained and seems to know not to lift his leg in the house.
