Gretel is
10 month old spayed black and tan girl. She is vet checked, on heartworm preventative
and current on shots.
A friend of Rescue noticed an ad in the paper "free to good home." Knowing how dangerous it is to offer a dog to the first comer, she called and offered Rescue's services to help find a good home - not just any home - for Gretel and her father Hansel.
Gretel came to us completely shaved down - almost to the skin. Apparently the day before Rescue got her, the breeder gave her the first haircut of her life. They had left her hair long to keep her warm - because she had spent the winter tied to a dog house.
This little girl has a fabulous personality. She craves affection, comes flying when you call her name, and jumps up for hugs and petting.
Gretel will need some help with her housebreaking. She responds well to positive reinforcement and wants to please when she understands what it expected.
