Buster

Buster is a four year old neutered red with white male. He is up-to-date on all his shots, heartworm tested and on preventative.

He had been a 1998 Rescue dog. His first owner had surrendered him and Brandy to Rescue rather than to a shelter when the landlord said no pets. He was just returned to Rescue because he jumped up on the toddler and knocked him over.

His coat was gorgeous. Not only was it a deep red color, but had a straight texture, which is normally easy to care for. Unfortunately, a clipper happy groomer has shaved him down. Whether it can be restored is a matter of speculation. We trimmed up his head and feet and he was very good for the process.

Buster is playful, loves belly rubs and people. He is housebroken. He likes other dogs, was good around cat, and has been exposed to horses. He apparently loves children - too much... He is heartbroken to be back in foster care and can't understand why wanting to give a toddler a kiss is a reason for him to be rejected.

He would probably benefit from simple obedience training - which shouldn't be difficult because he is very anxious to please if he is just told what is expected.
