Adrianna
is a very petite (14 pounds) sweet little 2-4 year old black and white parti-girl.
She is spayed, current on shots, vet checked, and on heartworm preventative.
She was surrendered to Rescue by breeders as part of a deal whereby authorities would
not file neglect charges against them. Rescue didn't get good records, so we're not
exactly sure who she is, but she responds to Adrianna, so it is now her name. It's
evident she is from some good lines, as she is well-proportioned, has a regal stance,
and prances like a showdog.
Her coat is
easy to comb, doesn't seem to mat; she should just need touchup trims to her head
and feet. She was squirmy with the trimmer, but let me brush her teeth.
Adi had very limited human contact, and came to us with no people-skills. She is
VERY timid with new people, but once she decides you're ok, she's an absolute love
with lots of kissies and waggies. If you pick her up, she'll cling for dear life,
wrap her arms around your neck and nuzzle her head under your chin.
She gets along very well with the other two (much larger) cockers in her foster home,
and is definitely not an alpha-type. She had no interest in the cat next door. She's
learning all about the toybox, and will grab a toy and take it back to her crate.
She will need a crate for her "safety zone".
She's making great strides with housebreaking, does not mess in her crate, and potties
outside. We would prefer she go to a forever home where someone is home all day to
help her hone her potty skills and boost her confidence, so she can enjoy life to
the fullest! She might enjoy a furry brother or sister, so another dog should be
fine.
