History of the RWRG

Jack and Mary Lewis moved to Utah in 1986. A year later, with several other folks, the Utah Sighthound Racing and Coursing Club was formed. Sprint Racing began in 1989 for Whippets, and NOTRA oval racing for all sighthounds was begun in 1990. In 1994, the RWRG was formed to focus solely on racing. In order to allow all Sighthounds to enjoy sprint racing, LGRA was created here with the first meet held in 1995. We have hosted NAWRA ('93 & '98) & NOTRA('98) Nationals.
