... about me
My name is Robert D. McKelvey, Jr. I am
married now, to my dear childhood sweetheart, Rosemary Mistretta, on March 26, 2009.
I was born in Orrville,
Ohio on January 29, 1953. I have three older sisters
and one younger brother. They are in order of birth
Marsha Lou McKelvey, Linda Kay McKelvey, Carolyn Sue
McKelvey, and Michael Lee McKelvey. We are all living
in Florida now except for Linda. Our parents moved to
Florida when we were quite young. I am now looking to
find my ancestors and their origins. I now have quite a few
genealogy web pages. I hope whoever finds or surfs to
them or through them will find some information or can also
provide more information.
Here is more information
of the McKelvey lineage:
John McKelvey, b. January 20, 1826, and Jane Logan,
b. February 2, 1832, were both born in Northern
Ireland. They came to America separately and settled
in Old Philadelphia, Pa, John came over in 1840. He became a United States
citizen on October 4, 1856. He met Jane in
Pennsylvania and married her in 1857, in Downingstown, Pa.
They then moved to Killbuck, Oh and bought a
farm. They left the farm to their seven
children, four boys
and three girls. Robert L. McKelvey was the oldest of the
siblings and the next descendant in my tree. Newton George McKelvey
is next descendant of my tree. Then comes my father Robert D. McKelvey, Sr.
