EVENTS!

Almost every Sunday land sailors get together to test new modifications, challenge each other to slalom races, play a bit of soccer, or just have fun maneuvering upwind at higher and higher speeds. A good 10 MPH breeze is enough to speed upwind at 25 to 30 MPH!

RC models and full scale manned land yachts are welcome! Parking lots are selected each weekend depending on expected wind speeds and directions, other attractions scheduled at these places and expected number of people wanting to share the sport. The parking lots are at Miramar College, Mesa College, on the beach at Cardiff by the Sea, at Shelter Island and others yet to be discovered.
