Ray's Links
Only links that I find most useful are listed, along with a short description.
Topics include Search Engines, HTML, Mapping/GIS, Technical Writing and others.
- Search Engines
- Google is the only one I use.
Cannot find another one even close to its capability for locating information.
- HTML
- Mapping/GIS
- Google
Maps API Documentation is the main resource page for the Google Maps API.
- Google Maps
API Tutorial is a great resource for examples and code.
- TerraServer USA has high
resolution USGS aerial imagery and USGS topographic maps online. Incredible
resource for looking at any place in the U.S.
- The EROS Data Center is part
of the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) National Mapping Division. The
USGS Geographic Data Download page gives access to digital raster and vector
topo data via FTP download. Also provides a link to public domain software
and GIS utilities for use with USGS geographic data.
- Technical Writing
- Other
- Ray's Links (Ray Parrish) has a lot
of interesting information on such topics as Ubuntu Linux, Troubleshooting and
fixing Windows, Visual Basic, and other computer topics. Definitely worth a
look.
