This indenture made the twenty eight day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy one - Between Alexander McMillan and Jane McMillan his wife of St. Clair County Michigan of the first part and Miranda Wilcox of the same place of the second part Witnesseth that deed said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred dollars to them in hand by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged do by these presents grant bargain sell demise release and forever quit claim unto the said party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns forever all that piece or parcel of Land situate in the Town and County of St. Clair and State of Michigan and describe as follows viz: Commencing in the East line the South West quarter (1/4) of section nineteen (19) Town five (5) north of range seventeen (17) East at a f____st twelve rods north of the northeast corner of a piece of land chere____ for deeded to Reuben Russell by Frances Therault Thence east and parallel with the north line of said Russells land one hundred and Twenty rods Thence North Eight rods Thence East and parallel with the north line of said Russells land one hundred and Twenty rods to the east line of Same South West quarter of section nineteen (19) Thence south on said quarter line eight rods to the place of beginning containing six acres of land. Together with all and singular the hereditamints and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To Have and to Hold the said above described premises to the said party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use. State of Michigan County of St. Clair On this 28th day of September one thousand eight hundred and seventy one before me a notary Public in and for said county personally came the above named Alexander McMillan & Jane McMillan his wife known to me to be the persons who executed the forgoing instrument and acknowledged the same to be their free act and deed and the said Jane McMillan on a private examination separate and apart from her husband acknowledged that she executed the same without fear or compulsion from any one.
