To all People to whome these presents shall Come Know ye that I Samuell Rust of Coventry in ye County of Windham & Colony of Conecticut in New England for and in Consideration of a Certain piece of Land in ye Town of Coventry Confirmed to me ye sd samuell Rust by ye town of Coventry in ye County & Colony abovesd I have Given Granted bargined sold and by these presents firmly freely and absolutely doe Grant Bargain sell Convay and Confirm unto ye sd Town of Coventry one peice or percle of Land Lying in ye sd Coventry in County & Colony aforesd to be sequestered for a highway the land is butted and Bounded as follweth viz begining at a heap of stons about two Rods North of a white oak Tree which was ye Northeast Corner of a fifty acre Divition Laid out to Joseph Allen of Weathersfeild and from thence Runs southwesterly about Thirty rods to a walnut stake with stons about it & from sd stake tweni___ a Little more southery about Fourty Rods to a walnut stake with a heap of stons about it from thence turns Northwesterly Twenty two Rods to a heap of stons wheir it intercepts a Road of Town and upon exchange of Elijah Hammond ye sd Highway is to be six rods wide from ye first mentioned heap of stons to ye Last mentioned heap of stons ye highway Lying on ye south side of sd monements To have and to hold ye abovesd percle of Land to be Left open for a highway for ye yous and benifit of ye Town of Coventry to be yoused as a Country Road with all ye Privilidges & apurtenances their to belonging and I ye sd samuell Rust do hearby Covenant Grant Bargin with ye abovesd Town of Coventry that I am ye true and proper oner of ye above sd percle of Land and am sole seized theirof ye ____ warrant and Defend ye same unto ye abovesd Town of Coventry against ye Lawfull Claims and Demands of _______ ___ person or persons whatso ever in Confirmation theirof I have hear to set my hand and seall this ye 29 Day of January anno Dom 1734
