WILL

In the Name of God Amen    This 21th Day of may AD 1768    I John Willson of Coventry in ye County of Windham and Colony of Conetticut in Newingland      Being at this time in Good Degree of helth of Body and of a Sound mind and memory for all which I Bless God and Remembering my own mortality that it is appointed men once to Die I Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament      That is to say Principally and first of all I Recomend my Soul into the heaven of God who gave it and my Body to ye Earth to be buried in a Christian manner Nothing Doubting but it will be raise again at ye Last Day-- and Touching such Worldly Good and Estate herewith it hath Pledged God to bless me with I Devise and Dissolve of same in ye Following manner that is to say after all my just Debts and funeral charges are Paid do Give and Bequeath unto my well Beloved wife Dorothy Willson ye improvement of all my Land Excepting on one given hereafter to my son William Willson and Seven acres of Wood Land that Lyeth at ye West End of my farme I now Live on it buts West on my son William Willson and North on Land Given by Deed to my son Francis Willson together with half my Dwelling house said. Also my Barn During her Natural Life and also all my movable Estate to Be at her Dispose for Ever----------- I Give and Bequeathe unto my Son William Willson one acre of Land Lying four square Butting south on ye Country Rode and West on my Son William Willson Land--------------- I Give and Bequeathe unto ye heires of my Son Francis Willson Late of Coventry Deceast viz to ye Widow Abigal Willson I give the Improvement of ye one half of my Dwelling house and half of Barne Duering ye time She Remains my Sd sons Widow--------------- I Give and Bequeathe unto my two grandsons Francis and Stephen Wilson sons to sd Francis Willson Deceast that half of ye Dwelling house and Barn that I gave to ye Sd Abigail Willson to be theirs after she ceases to be my Sd sons widow and also all my Lands With ye other half of my Buildings to be theirs at ye Death of my Sd Wife to be Equally Devided Between them their paying out five Pounds a pees to Each of their Sisters----------------- I having heretofore given my Son Joseph Willson and my Daughter Abigail hearick What I thought was their full Portion of my Estate and Lastly my will and Pleasure is and of Do hereby Constitute ordain & appoint my Son William Willson to be Executor of this my last will and testament

Then Capt Ebenezer Kingsbury Doct Elijah Lyman and Mr. Amaziah Rust ye Witness to ye within will Personaly appeard and have sollom oath that they see Mr John Willson Deceast & Testator of Sd will Signed Seal Publish and Declare ye same to be his Last will and Testement and at ye same time in ye Presence of sd Testator we see each other subscribe as wittness to sd will and that ye sd Testator was at sd time of a sound Disposing mind and memory to ye Best of our observing Sworn before me
