To His Excellency Frances Gore Esquire, Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Upper Canada
In Council The Petition of James Hinton of Trafalgar yeoman
Humbly sheweth That your Petitioner is desirous of leasing Lot number Twenty six, in the Second Concession South side of Dundas Street in the Township of Trafalgar the same being a Crown Reserve, and craves leave to offer Thomas Hinton of Trafalgar Farmer as a Surety to be joined in a bond with your Petitioner for securing the regular payment of the rent according to The Terms of the Lease Wherefore your Petitioner prays that your Excellency may be pleased to grant him a Lease of the said Lot subject to The Conditions expressed in the notice issued from the office of the late Lieutenant Governor Hunter having date the 16th October 1802. And as is duty bound shall ever pray.
