Ms. Morgan's exploration of how a group of witches with true magic power, could be living among us, with normal humans having no clue, was intriguing and plausible. Both Drake and Rhea are likable characters. The power of his position has made Drake controlling, but Rhea isn't a doormat and easily stands up to him, putting him in his place. The interaction and dialogue between these two characters is fast pace and interesting. Ms. Morgan's use of sex on the astral plane was something I had not seen before and gave the story a fresh feel. "This is absolutely one of my favorite reads of the year! The story is well plotted, the world is
internally consistent, and the characters are so well drawn that you cannot help but become
deeply involved with them. Drake is an absolutely perfect Alpha male, and Rhea is his complete
equal. The book is filled with exotic danger, mystery, spells, and HOT romance!
The sexual relationship between Rhea and Drake is explicit, and to be honest, the language is not
one I would normally be completely comfortable with. Having said that, and having read this
book, I find myself unable to find any way that this could have been better written. The language
and sex are perfect for the characters and the plot, (and frankly, have given me a few ideas as
well...)

"This is a fun and fast-paced read about a woman's meeting with a magical world. Ms. Morgan describes the magical beings and their world in the midst of present day Chicago so realistically that magical thunderstorms, shapeshifters on the street and duels between witches seem like an integral part of the city. The bedroom scenes are scorching hot. The characters are witty and likable, the most humorous one being Rhea's dead grandmother (!). All the other secondary characters have idiosyncrasies of their own. Betsy and Keir especially are adorable and I for one would love to read their story.
