I'd never associated New Zealand & wine, good bad or indifferent wine, but am a believer now. On the way to Queenstown we passed many small vineyards perched on the hill sides ... reminding me of the Finger Lakes region of home, upstate New York. While most of our party favored the Sauvignon's local Riesling's were my favorites. To be fair though I felt obligated to sample all available wines, someone has to do it, and found them good..
