| FOGGY START - ASCENT TO MACKINNON PASS |

With the toughest portion of the Track ahead of us we took an early start. Even the best gear $$ could buy didn't keep us dry for long as the rain came in torrents. Even wet though polypropylene worked its' magic and I stayed warm. Moisture saturated air above ground still warmed by the sun of the previous day created a dense fog that had a beauty all its' own.
