BUNGEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

On the way to Queenstown we stopped to watch, were this all began, jumpers at the A.J. Hackett bungy jump bridge at the Kawarau Bungy Centre. First time jumpers walked gingerly onto a platform above the river followed closely the their jump master who kept his knees behind the hollow of the jumpers knees to prevent backing up. With his hand in the jumpers face he'd say "take a little step, take another step, watch my hand ..." AIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE and the jumper took that one step too many step and was in flight.

Queenstown bills itself as the adrenaline capital of the world. In addition to bungy jumping you can canyon swing, paraglide, fly-by-wire, run the rapids or take a 60 mph ride in a jet boat that can turn on a dime.
