| TASMAN SEA - FINE DAY FOR A TURN ON THE BEACH |
|---|
A typical mid-summer day on the West Coast of New Zealand. Sheltered by a heavy growth of trees and plants along the trail the walk to the beach was comfortable. My surroundings felt foreign, few reminders of home. The comfort of familiar surroundings was missing. Leaving the calm of the rain forest we were exposed to winds so strong as prevented us from continuing to the beach below. Standing upright was an accomplishment. I'm in full rain attire, nothing left in the pack.
