A welcome break from hotel and motels the Homestead is located on a working ranch. Coming from New York state in February the flowers on the grounds were welcome. We enjoyed a large kitchen, where Claire did the real work, and spacious living and sun rooms. With 16 residents and 2 bathrooms however cooperation was at a premium.
I spent a full day at the Homestead recovering from a chest cold, missing out on the days' activities. Enjoyed reading a good book but missed an exciting day
