~~ Clocks ~~
Who is this 'Thom Cat' ??? Clock is battery operated, with an alumimun case, glass front, no makers marks other than "Made In USA" at the top on the face ($75). Also have this figure in a bank -- see my tour page about cat banks.
The above clocks are all German made. The Black and white one is a recent clock and is made of plastic ($25). The next one is painted wood and is a reproduction of an early clock ($25). His eyes move back and forth when wound. The third clock is a 'Lux' clock which is highly sought after. It dates from the 1920s, and his tail is a pendulum ($250). He is a wind-up clock, and his eyes go back and forth and his tail does too. The last clock in this row is wooden and dates from the 1930's. made in Germany as well, it also has weights and chains that I removed. His eyes go back and forth also ($175).
These 2 clocks are advertising Cat-Tex and Cat's Paw replacement soles for shoe repair.

Here is another Cat's paw clock in a different retangular size. This one has a plexiglass front that is reverse-painted with the advertising information. There is a clear space where the clock face can show through ($375). To the left of the clock is a store door piece that would tells customers when the store would open and when it closes ($15). On top of the clock is a cardboard box with a full bottle of the Cat's Paw cement glue for affixing the rubber heels to shoes ($20). Beside that is "Blackie", a black rubber molded hand puppet. On his back are embossed in the rubber, Cat Tex, and "Blackie the Cat". Blackie is holding (my arrangement, not his) a box of the Cat's Paw rubber heels. This is the ONLY Blackie puppet I've ever seen, and I'm keeping him!.
