Publicity Association

At the recent AG.M. Allison Williams the Manager was re-elected as Secretary, David Clay retained his role as Treasurer and Lesley Amison has agreed to Chair the Association for another year. The meeting was given comprehensive analysis of the current marketing of the town on the internet. Tribute was paid to the late Mrs Pat Podmore for the many years of service that she had given to the Publicity Association. The fact that of the nine people attending there were only two business operators, representing one business in the area. It must be assumed that the association is achieving all that is required of it by all the other businesses and that they are happy with the work done on their behalf. The new brochure is being snapped up both locally and from far afield which hopefully indicates the town can expect a busy season.

The Llanaber ladies together with wonderful help from other members of the parish, set up their stalls, coffee was made and due to the' good weather a brisk trade was soon enjoyed by all. It was a happy, jolly evening and we are so grateful for all the help, donations and money spent. In all £590.00 was raised for parish funds. Many, many thanks to all who helped and those who came. Our thanks also go to Father Langan, who has now retired. His kindness and generosity over the years will always be remembered by St. Mary's parishioners. We wish him a joyous and happy retirement in Preston and to Brother Ken, his successor many happy years in Llanaber.
