Dragon Theatre

The two plays running at the Dragon this summer have attracted big audiences, people were being turned away at the door on Wednesday because all seats had been sold. There is still time to catch the Vicar of Dibley on Wednesday’s and Barefoot in the Park on Monday’s as they run till the end of the month. There will also be an extra performance of the Vicar of Dibley in the Barmouth Arts Festival in early September.

The Catrin O’Neill Trio also had a sell out performance in the Arts Room at the Dragon last Thursday. Catrin is known locally through her performances in town and rewarded her audience with a lively foot tapping mix of music and songs that will guarantee her a good audience if she returns. There has been an increase in the use of the Arts Room as a cabaret and informal performance space this year; it is a venue that is gaining popularity for the comfortable surroundings that it offers and the flexibility of the space available.
