1862 -	May 3	Barmouth Gas Company light up the town
1864 -	July 30	Merionethshire - Barmouth Regatta
1867 -	August 10	The Welsh Coast Railway ready to open
1872		Opening of Barmouth Junction Railway Station
1878		Marine Parade reached completion
1889 -	January 18	Gold found at Barmouth
1920 -	July	800 passengers arrived in the town by train
1920 -	August	1,600 day trippers arrived in town by rail.
