Biloxi, Mississippi, April 13, 2002
Jerry and his band took the stage to two sold out shows in Biloxi, Ms. April 13th. The band started things off with an oldie
but goodie,"I Feel Good", which featured bass player Mike Bush. Then "The Man" took the stage and the show was on.
Jerry started things off with "Lord,Mr.Ford" followed by "Amos Moses", "She Got The Goldmine", "The Bird", and "When
You're Hot, You're Hot". Somewhere in that mix came an oldie called "Alabama Wild Man",a tune that he said he hadn't
performed in over 15 years. Then It was time for a little pickin'.Jerry and the guys performed John Phillip Sousa's "Stars
And Stripes Forever". Then Mark Thornton seemingly stepped out of the past with a Chet Atkins tune, "The Tiger Rag".
Then it was band leader Bobby Lovett's turn to be featured. He played "The Beverly Hillbillies Theme" and brought the
house down with the "Orange Blossom Special". Then they recieved a standing ovation for thier new gospel number,"A
Brand New Me", which featured drummer John Riffe. Then Jerry finished the night off with "East Bound And Down". It
was two wonderful concert and everyone really enjoyed it. Jerry signed autographs and visited with folks after the concerts
for awhile. Oh, I can't close without mentioning Prissy. As always, Prissy added a lot to the show. She always make them
look better. Hmmm Wonder why. Now if we can get her to sing a solo or at least a duet with Jerry, we'll be in High Cotton.

The two shows on Sunday were great. He actually had everyone standing and clapping on Stars and Stripes. As far as any
comments regarding the New York attacks, he only had on. He said if those idiots who are responsible for the attacks think
this is going to bring America down they're wrong. It is only going to make us stronger. He practically got a standing
ovation. He also mentioned that he served in the Army until 1959 and he loves this country and he would do anything to
fight for it... The crowd gave him a standing ovation after the second show and wanted him to come back for an encore...

Wythville, Virginia, June 16, 2001
After spending twenty-seven years wishing I could see my all-time favorite musician in person, I was
fortunate enough to attend my first Jerry Reed concert in Wytheville, Virginia. I decided to spend the
whole day at the festival where he performed, and it was one of the longest days in history. The last two
hours before Jerry came on seemed like an eternity. Finally, after 9:30pm, Jerry hit the stage and I hit my
feet. He looked healthy and sounded awesome. He did some of my favorite songs, and even performed
some new songs I'd never heard. A couple of new gospel songs were introduced and they were great! My
favorite part of the show was when Jerry picked up his guitar. It was amazing watching his fingers fly from
such a close distance (I had a good spot). I took loads of pictures and clapped, hollered, and cheered
throgh the whole show. Then, after he finished up, somebody gets on stage and said, "Jerry will be
signing a few autographs after the show, so line up over there... (see fan encounters for the rest of Gregg's
story)

Vicksburg, Mississippi, January 27, 2001
The house was packed Saturday night at Vicksburg as Jerry and his band took the stage. The band started
things off with an oldie but goodie, "I Feel Good", which featured bass player Mike Bush from Arizona. Then
"The Man" took the stage and the show was on. Jerry started things off with "Lord Mr. Ford" followed by
"Amos Moses", "She Got the Goldmine", "The Bird", and "When You're Hot, You're Hot". Then it was time for a
little pickin'. Jerry and the guys picked up a storm on "Jerry's Breakdown." Then they performed John Phillips
Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever" to which they recieved a standing ovation. Then John Riffe (drummer) was
featured on the new song " A Brand New Me". I was really impressed by this one because I am also a big fan of
gospel music, especially the quartets. Then Mark Thornton seemingly stepped out of the past with a Chet Atkins
tune, "The Tiger Rag." It is amazing how much his pickin' sounds like Chet's. Then is was band leader Bobby
Lovette's turn to be featured. He played "The Beverly Hillibillies Theme" and brought the house down with
"Orange Blossom Special." Then Jerry finished the night off with "East Bound and Down." It was a great
concert and everybody really enjoyed it. Jerry signed autographs and visited with folks after the concert for a
while. Until next time. Jerry Arnold, Natalbany, La
