Gone to Pot
This potting shed was made in a small pot and a saucer. The flagstone was made from eggshells. The work bench was custom made to fit the shape of the pot. The sink is made using a pill blister package and some wire. The rolled fencing is made from needlepoint cloth. Several items are purchased painted metal.
There are many items that I was able to use from the 2002 Quarter Connection Convention tote favors. These items include flat of flowers with trowel by Suzanne Larson Timbro, items on newspaper next to the sink including red birdhouse above by Cheryl Umberger, the book on the top shelf in front made by Jean Day, garden hose and seed packets by Jennie Harshman, small topiary by Lynn Hamel, hollyhocks in front by Jean Brattan, wheelbarrow by Barbara Thorton-Hill, hanging planter by Carol Pierce, birdhouse by Shelia Jacobson and birdbath by Jeanne Kitchens. The trellis in the back is by Nancy White.
The neatest thing for me about this project was being able to "shop" my totefavors. I absolutely loved getting all the items and finally am putting them somewhere.
Sunflower Watering Can
This can was purchased blank. I painted the sunflower on the front. The bench was a kit from Ruth Goodner. I made the sunflowers from kits by Shani Nelson. Although I used a different paper for the leaves. The birdhouse was a Quarter Connection 2002 Convention totefavor made by Phyllis Sloan. This scene worked up very quickly. What took the longest was the sunflowers, but that was just a matter of patience. The rabbit is a metal mini I painted.
