Miss Greene's Finishing School for Worms

I had this idea of doing a school scene in an apple for one of my daughter's first teachers, however it didn't get completed for far too long, so I kept it instead. I haven't regretted that decision either.

I wanted to use a paper mache apple, but none was to be found at the time. Instead I bought a solid one. We had the most "fun" time hollowing this out, as it was solid styrofoam with a coating on it that makes it very realistic looking.

I was going to originally put two worms smoking behind the schoolhouse, but my hubby said I'd be promoting it. Instead they are kissing. I'm still not sure I want to promote that either.

Items purchased include stove and stove pipe on top. The flag and bell were given to me by a club member.

Woodland Fairies

This was a kit purchased from Joan Wheatley. The furniture is my design.

The bunny is a fairy that has changed her shape to hide from you. You can tell the difference by the flowers in her hair. I also have one of Lady Bug's used up fairies here. I hope one day she will be able to change back.

Birchwood Tales

This is another kit by Joan Wheatley. She provides the wonderful pieces of bark, lichen and other natural materials to create something truly whimsical. One day I hope to make furniture that is fitting for this "tree house".
